Forgive my ignorance. I am so extremely unfamiliar with these cars, but I putting together a plastic model of a '51 (it was the oldest Chevrolet model kit I could find). It calls for the sway bar, Tie rod and Spindles to be bare steel. Is that factory correct?

Also, what colors should the factory rear shocks be?

On the older cars that I am more familiar with, those would all be painted black.

Thank in advance for your insight, I want this model to be as factory correct as possible.

From an old post by Gene Schneider, the sway bar and links were not painted on a 1953. I would assume the same for a 1951.

Per this post by Gene Schneider, the original 1951 shocks were black.
