Got a hand me down vehicle with many extra parts that has been in the family since 1990. Wanted to update to modern turn signals and brake lights while keeping as much original features as possible, including the original 6v electrical generator system.
A neighbor made me a mirror image tail light bracket to the original 1930 bracket minus the cross bar for the tag, which worked well with the original holes in the frame for British Commonwealth sales. Added 6v electronic flasher relay, and bullet motorcycle fixtures to the bumper bolts ( they match the headlight design) for turn signals. And back fitted new 1156 and 1157 sockets and low profile 6v LED bulbs to the tail and brake lights.
The best part was what would have cost me $680 in parts from old Chevy specialty online vendors cost me $140 total.
How cool is that! Well done.

Photos of the finished result. Blue blankets to resist the cats that like the old car at night. The last upgrade is to add a blue high beam light under the dash. Found some 6v bulbs designed for pinball machines that just showed up yesterday. Lots of specialty 6v bulbs from Amazon, also from a company called Memotronics. Headlights duel element bulbs for $1.79 each with reasonable shipping cost.
@clayton1961-2 Nice Job! Those tail lights look like they always belonged to that era. Again, thumbs up!
