Good morning everyone,

The steering box on dad's 1942 Fleerline Aerosedan is really sloppy as soon as you get away from center.  And when it's turned to the right it's crunchy, like ilthe bearings are bad.  We have a spare box, but the mast shaft was cut, so we'll have to tear it down to swap the mast shaft with a spare anyways.  We would like to rebuild that box using the parts from the Filling Station.

Has anyone rebuilt their steering boxes themselves?  I'm specifically looking for information about the sector shaft housing bushings.  The service manual says to ream the bushings to final size after installation.  Does the rebuild kit sold by the Filling Station need these bushings to be reamed or are the good to go as is?)
