steering box

I have the front suspension and steering in pretty good shape except for slack in the steering box. I am having trouble finding parts to rebuild the box. I have found some parts for the truck boxes but nothing for the car. I am wondering if the car and truck use the same box. I looked in the master parts manual and it did not show a separate box for the 1/2 ton.

The car is really aggravating to drive like it is. If I can't find parts to fix it I might convert to power steering. Parking lots are becoming a challenge anyway.

@steve-d 1951 Style line. There is a lot of slack in the steering box and I cannot find parts to rebuild it. I can find bearings, seals and bushings but not the worm gear and pitman shaft. I have found some sites that have parts for trucks but nothing for the cars.

Thanks, Pete

I have a steering box from a 52. I can check it out if you are interested . A friend who worked in a restoration shop helped me with  my 32 so i will see if he is available to assist.

Have you attempted to rebuild your current steering box and verified that the parts were worn beyond use?

@william-vance After a quick check the box I have has a lot of play and probably worse than what you have. I just readjusted it and it now has zero play -best i can tell with it on the bench mounted in my vise.
