I have an exhaust pipe extender/diverter for my 1954 Chevy Bel Air. I have three questions about it: 1) was this an "authentic" Chevy accessory - meaning it was an accessory/option you could buy from Chevy or a Chevy dealer when you bought an original car? I don't see it listed in the 1954 Accessories Installation guide, so I'm concerned it may not be; 2) if it's NOT authentic and installed on the car, will there be a deduction from judges at a VCCA meet?; 3) Any guidance on installing the accessory? It came with a tailpipe hanger, but I don't understand how it would be installed. Link to pictures here:
