1938 radio problems

 Does the box that houses the radio tubes the same for a deluxe radio as for a super deluxe radio?  I have a super deluxe radio in my car, and I have a deluxe radio that I was going to sell...  My radio doesn't work in my car, but I am sure that the deluxe radio works.  Or maybe the under the running boards antenna doesn't work good enough.

I am NOT a radio expert.

In fact I'm far from one.

But... assuming your radios are the 985284 Deluxe and 985283 Super Deluxe as below and from here, they are not the same box and tubes:
