Hello, I picked up a nice looking ferro engine block and crankshaft this weekend. Can anybody tell me what car model used this engine, and the value of the block/crankshaft? Thank you!

Hi Gino,

Welcome to the VCCA's website!  We'll need some more info before your new find can be identified.

What are the casting numbers (raised numbers, not stamped) on the block? How many cylinders?

Cheers, Dean

@gino-2 @rustoholic Gino, I am not familiar with the term "Ferro", in reference to engine parts, or in any other context.. Can you or someone else enlighten me.

@35mike I believe it just refers to the block as being made of iron. From AI "Ferro" is derived from Latin, meaning "iron."
