Hey guys,
Tomorrow's project is going to include getting all the linkage and rear brakes back on the Chevy.
The top bands do not have the same radius as the hub, so the far edges touch earlier than the middle.
Is there a proper way to shape these bands on the hub so I can get uniform contact?
Thanks!
I had a problem with out-of-round outside brake bands on my '27 truck a few years ago. Here's an writeup about how I got them round again: Outside brake band bending technique
