Digging through all the issues on this car and I found the drivers side rear hub has a couple stripped studs.
None of my books show how to replace a stud on the hub, so curious if anyone can point me in the right direction?
If you have disc wheels and I assume you’re taking about the lug nut studs. You should have room to drive the stud out, may have to find a spot to be able to have room to get it out. With your new stud use 2 washers and a nut to pull it into place.
You shouldn’t be able to find new studs at a local parts store if you take a sample in.
You sure driving them out won't harm the hub? I was reading that hammering them out may Ccrack the hubs?
Never had to do this before, not sure if that's right or not so want to be sure before I do something I kay regret 😉

I’ve replace studs this way many times when we had the shop, never had a problem. I guess if you could damage the hub this way it wasn’t very good to start with.
Every time I've replaced studs, violence was involved.....

@tiny Ha! Well I got them out but yes violence was involved. Air hammer at 100psi and a lot of noise!
Still took a lot of hits with the air but they eventually came free.

Hopefully my first reply didn't offend, that wasn't my intention. Some of this stuff I've never done before so I just like to be sure before I do something wrong.
I'm sure the air hammer was hitting harder and faster than I ever could and eventually all the studs let go!
New ones should be going in tomorrow!
