I am working on my 1936 Standard non-synchronized transmission and can't find a shop manual or technical specs. The book I bought and places I look on-line only talk about the 1936 Master synchronized transmission make no mention of the non-synchronized Standard transmission. Should I be looking for something from an earlier year? 34 or 35 maybe? Thanks in advance for any help.

@david-collings David, I have a transmission book somewhere. I will try to find it. Do you have the factory shop manual?

Thanks for your response. The book I have is the 1935/1936 Chevrolet Repair Manual (a red and black cover book, about 200 pages) and I've looked around on the different links at Old Online Chevy Manuals Project website, plus looked at various discussion forums. All seem to have lots on the synchronized but nothing on the non-synchronized transmission for 1936.

david Collings: I am having the same problem . The 35-6 chev shop manual is terrible, no detail  in all respects, all chapters. Pontiac and olds are much better for 36, but the drive train components  may have differences, so they are good for the bodies and other features.  Any luck finding any tech manual on these 36 unsynchro'ed transmissions? thanks- MRW
