I have had a Jim Peterson regulator on a 1931 generator for over 20 years. It was the first on a negative ground system. It has performed flawlessly for the entire time. Probably should get another one if available as moving the generator from vehicle to vehicle can be a pain.

Chip, Peterson retired. There is another guy doing something similar. Stevenson is his name. So far the generator I have in there is performing well at the current adjustment of the 3rd brush. I’m getting about 7.7 volts and 8 amp. From what I’ve read that is not too bad. I have seen numbers as high as 12 amps and as low as 4 amps in my research. I will monitor the battery for the time being to ensure I don't cook it or kill it.

I do have a small gas line leak I discovered today. It only leaks when the engine is running and the line is under pressure. I think the old ferrule on the line that connects to the carb has just done its time. I think there may be enough tubing there for me ot hip odd the fur rule and replace it with a new one. If not I can bend up a new one or buy one from TFS.
