Looking to get a little more top end out of my Master Deluxe with a stock 216. Can you swap the 4.22 ring and pinion to the Master 3.73s ?

Yes!  Easiest to swap torque tube and pumpkin from 1937, 38, or 39 Standard.

@michael-tobin 3.55 (1950-1954 Power Glide) Torque Tube and gears will bolt to any 1937 through 1954, passenger car axle housing. Drive shaft and torque tube will have to be shortened.

@michael-tobin i think the splines are different on 37-39 than the powerglide rear end. It may be easier to find a master 85 rear end, those have the 3.73 gears. Look up "ouch1939" on instagram, he has plenty of informative info on the swap. He did the conversion from 4.11 to 3.55 on my 40.
