Reminder that VCCA members will meet at the Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on Friday May 29th at 3:00 prior to the Saturday Route 66 Capital Centennial Parade in Tulsa.   Some will go have a group dinner after the get together.

Thank you Joe for your organizational skills in the event and after dinner. They were both first class.

Thanks for the reminder, Joe! Looking forward to seeing everyone's rigs out there.

I have a quick logistical question for the guys who frequent these meets and the swap areas: I'm planning to start bringing a lot more heavy spare parts (extra 216/235 blocks, sheet metal, etc.) to the events this season. I'm getting tired of loading them into the open bed of my truck and worrying about the weather, so I'm looking at picking up a small <a title="6x12 Trailer" href=" removed link " target="_blank" rel="noopener">6x12 Trailer to act as a rolling parts shed.

For those of you who tow small enclosed trailers to the VCCA meets, do the venues and hotels usually have decent parking for a truck + 12ft trailer setup, or is it usually a nightmare to navigate the parking areas?

Want to make sure a 6x12 isn't going to be too much of a headache to park before I pull the trigger and order it. See you all there!

Many of us haul our cars and trucks on trailers to events. Generally hotels have enough parking for them. It is best to call and verify before making reservations. It is best to arrive before 6 PM if there is any doubt.

Did any of our members get hung up in the parade fubar and not get to participate? I guess there were around 1000 cars that waited in line for hours only to be turned away.
