My clock is missing the minute hand, and I have removed the clock from the glove compartment door but now I can't disconnect the wires so I can work on it. Does anyone know where I can find it in the service manual?  I'm having problem taking off the knob used for setting the clock I know I should post it in a different section, but I thought I would start here.

Are you able to track the wire? I would assume it connects to the ammeter, ignition switch or light switch. I don't remember for sure where I connected mine but believe I connected it to the ignition switch. I'm not saying that's "correct", just where I connected it. As for the knob. The internal gear that moved the hands came off mine. I assume there's a small set screw on it but never had the clock apart. Sorry I can't be more help.

Thank you Tiny, I think I will have to remove my seat in order to get under my dash to see where the wires go.  I don't see any set screws on the stem. I need to get to my radio anyway to make sure that the under the running boards antenna is hook up.   My radio buzzes like it is hunting for a channel but it doesn't find one.  If I can't get my radio and clock fixed, I guess I won't go to Rapid City.  There is no since driving that far not to be able to get my car judged.

Pulling the ash tray if you have one, or the delete plate if you don't gives a surprising amount of view of the behind the dash workings.

@john-schildberg If the radio will turn on and make any noise that is all that is needed to show during judging. The clock also does not need to tell the accurate time. They might miss the missing hand. The couple of points deduction if they note the problems is not enough to keep the car from being eligible for an award. None of mine are 100% perfect but are close enough to deserve to be on the judging field. I encourage you to bring the car regardless.

Thank you Chip. that helps a lot.  My radio turns on but I can't get a station.  All it does is make a buzzing sound.   As far as Rapid City goes, I will be there then.  I hope to see you and Tiny plus many others that have given me advice during my restoration process.
