I have several years in rebuilding a 41 AK pickup and finally putting the complete rebuild 235 I bought 3 years ago into it. Turns out the motor is junk. New accessories a and a spray can.
I am looking for a reliable long block builder. I have seen a couple on line but I have been burned once I would like to keep if from happening a second time.
@ronsway1, I see this is your first post. Welcome!
Where are you located? You could look at the club's chapter web page and contact someone from your area for help. Here's a link to that page: https://vcca.org/regions-chapters/
Thanks, Dean

I am tired of delays I would like to find a "turnkey" engine and finish .
Not sure where your at but I have a friend that bought a 235 out of a 62 Belair that only had 16000 miles, I’ve had it running. I also know where there’s a 235 rebuilt short block not sure of the year.

If you joined the club and not just the forum, you have access to the Member Roster that is searchable. It's in the blue bar at the very top of the page.
