I am going to have the front suspension completely rebuilt on my 1950 Chevy. Can anybody give me some suggestions on what company to purchase the parts from? I hate to use chinese made parts if I don't have to. I have already rebuilt the idler/third arm assembly, now it's time for the rest including replacing the bearings in the hubs with tapered Timken bearings
I used Allied Bearing in Los Angeles. They handle MBS bearings made in Japan not China. The Inner bearings are 909052R and the Outer bearings are 909067R. I believe the bearing numbers are universal and can be cross referenced between manufacturers. They should fit 49-54 and others may also be possible.
Try Rare Parts in Stockton, CA. I think they make their parts in house. Here's their website: https://www.rareparts.com/
