I've had my windshield out for quite some time now trying to find the appropriate center divider bar and external stainless trim piece.
Would anyone happen to have an extra one laying around? I've bought one from I and I. Had to return it because it does not fit the original steel bar with the 4 holes. I've purchased another one from a guy that had one painted, removed the paint to find out its a gold color under the chrome. Been a real pain in the butt. I just want my windshield in.
If you have an extra laying around and are willing to sell please get a hold of me.
Update on windshield divider. The gold color is brass. A true vintage original was never stainless steel. They are all brass and then nickel plated. Today, the repops are stainless because it's one piece of sheet metal folded to shape and done.
There's no way in this day in age, with the price of brass and the long process of nickel coating them , and polishing them would they recreate them like they did back then. Way to much time and effort. Especially with the minimum wage price these days. Back then it was do able.
Finally getting around to getting my windshield in.
