Yes, I was using volts not amps. I'll try again.
OK, measuring it correctly on the DC amps mode and with a few things still disconnected, on the 20m scale on my meter, it reads 0.01, and on the 200u scale it reads 25-30. Like I said, I do not understand electricity, so is this OK or do I still need to look for a problem?
By 20m scale I assume you mean 20 milliamps?
If so, your reading looks fine to me, and suggests that your battery was the problem.
The 200u scale is I assume a 200 OHM scale, which measures resistance, and isn't really relevant here.

Thank you Stovblt and the rest of you gentlemen. Now down to mechanical things I understand, like replacing the master brake cylinder and more simple things. I plan to go on the Early 6 tour in Nevada in September. It will be the first long drives I will take in this car, so more checking.
Ken
Indeed. Thanks for the guidance Ole.

Ken’s last post seems to indicate he still has “a few things still disconnected”. Prior to going on to mechanical, I’d leave the meter connected and on the 20 m scale. Reconnect what ever he has disconnected one thing at a time, and see if the reading changes. This should assure that there is not a parasitic draw with everything returned to normal.
