Looking for sources to buy turn signals and also details on installation
You will need 4 lights, a flasher and a universal turn signal switch. Also a spool of wire for each of the 4 runs to the lights. Crimp on connectors too.
Go to Ebay or Amazon and search for "6v motorcycle turn signals" and you'll have lots to choose from. But these are the lights only.
Search for "universal turn signal switch" and make sure it's for or compatible with a 6 volt system. If the switch arm has a blinking light in it you may need to switch it to a 6v bulb.
You'll also need a 6v flasher. I made a simple clamp to mount it behind the dash. I also added a piezo buzzer that reminds me to turn them off. I made 4 metal arms that clamp on the bumper brackets to mount the lights, plus each light has a ground wire to the chassis.
Connect the power line to the switched side of the ignition switch so they will only operate when the key is on.
If you would send me your email I can send you pictures of my set up.

@tiny Do you have any pics of these on your car? They look decent in the catalog
I don't use electric turn signals on my 38 and the 53 came with them from the factory. I'm just pointing out our sponsor sells the items you need to add them to yours.

Yes of course, I should have included The Filling Station as a great source.
Greg,
If your car has two tail/stop lamps, you can use a 7 wire switch that works through your stop lamp switch, so your stop bulbs will work as turn signals.

I like that idea, just two added to the front would be better.
