Started on this restoration after it was taken apart and there are no photos. My question pertains to the weather strip for the doors. On a 1936 there are channels to fit the strip in . One on the top edge and one on the bottom opening edge below the door sill. On this 1935 there are no channels or any indication that there was any weatherstrip on this car. Does the 35 get weatherstripping and where does it mount? Thanks for your help
@mbrown What model of 1935 are you working on? My 1935 Standard Coupe and 2-door sedan have no weatherstrip around the doors.
I am not familiar with the Master models for 1935.
On another subject, where is the dome light switch on your car? Thanks.

Thanks for replying. This is a 1935 suicide 4 Dr Master. I guess maybe Chevy did things back then. The dome light switch is on right side pillar between the doors. Thanks once again

Mike, I hope someone will chime in who has specific knowledge about your car. I have lots of experience with the Standard Series cars for 1935 but none with the Master Series.

Mike, I have an original 34 Master 4 Dr with suicide doors. It does not have any weatherstrip either on the doors or in the jambs. Mike
Is this a "Mikes Only" thread?
We have had as many as 5 Mikes in my local car club. I made a motion to change the name from Old Wheels Car Club to Mike's Old Wheels Car Club. New motto "Be a Mike or take a Hike". Think of the money we could save on pre-printed Name Tags. It got voted down.

So far it has been. According to the Social Security Administration, Michael was the second most popular baby name in the 50’s, it has now dropped to 16th. Says something about the age of our hobby!
