Does anyone know who has a front roller taper wheel bearing upgrade in stock for a 1929 coach. I called the Filling Station this am and they told me it was in stock. I ordered it online and just got a call they don't have it. It will be 2 to 3 weeks. I like the filling station but I dont really want ot wait 2 to 3 weeks if I can find it else where sooner.

Thanks

Rich

Why not use stock rollers?

@tiny I think I will have to. I just ordered the outer ball bearing for the car. Some of the holes on the old outer bearing are elongated and some of the rollers are pretty loose. There are some tiny burs on the surface. I’m sure thats the issue. I will replace that and see if it solves my problem. I can’t believe I didn't notice this when I had it apart before. Just dumb sometimes I think.

I replaced the damaged outer bearing and readjusted both sides. The car drives about 90% better. It doesn't drift and doesn't require constant adjustment to keep it on the road. It is as good as I expected considering its age and the technology of the day… the skinny tires, solid axle, etc.

The skinny tires are a bit of a challenge on some of the roads around here. We got ruts and potholes and all sports of irregularities. Some roads are good. On those she rides like a dream.
