I am trying to install my windshield and would like to know what everyone is using to attach the top of the windshield to the metal channel that raises and lowers the glass. Obviously it has to be a tight fit to keep it from falling out of the channel. Thanks.
The glass was held into the channel by bedding material. It comes in several thicknesses and available in older glass suppliers. It is basically a woven fabric with a sealant coating. Modern windows use urethane bedding material.

Usually listed by vendors as " glass setting tape" . Many automotive vendors list it and as Chip noted older glass repair shops. Probably there are YouTube post of how to install but if you have questions just post and i am sure you will get the answers you need.
