Hopefully there's someone selling premixed paint but you'll likely have to have it color matched.

I have found that the interior color is from Rinshed and Mason per color combination 259 called Shoreman Beige. Now I need to find the Rinshed and Mason color specification documents that detail the actual paint specification so I can have it made. Does anybody have the specification details from Rinshed and Mason color this would be an old document
David, I doubt that you will be able to find a formula for the interior color, and even if you could, the old mixing colors are probably not available. Paint technology has changed many times since 1939. That said, I’d recommend you either go to a large PPG or Axalta supplier for help since I’m familiar with both. As an example, the attached pictures show the DuPont (now Axalta) SpectraMaster color book. It contains hundreds of solid color chips in different shades that can be used to obtain a very close match. Hopefully they will let you borrow the book so you can pick a color. The color can then be mixed using modern technology. I know that PPG has a similar tool that can be used for their product line and maybe RM does as well. Another alternative is to take a sample part to the store and have it scanned to create a formula. Mike
I found the Rinshed and Mason website (rmpaint.com) and specifically asked them about the paint code specifications. They said the same thing that the specs are obsolete based on the newer paint materials. They recommended having the paint chips scanned and formulated with the newer paints. Fortunately, I have a NAPA distributor near me that can scan and make custom paint in aerosol cans. I am pursuing this option today. More to come
Rustoleum has or had a color palette brochure that shows a brownish tan that is very close to that shown in your photo. I know they had the paint in a hammer tone finish I needed for my ‘46 truck. It was available in spray cans and quart cans, which needed thinned for spray gun use.
I don’t know if it’s available in a nonhammer tone finish. The color comparison was difficult to distinguish a difference between remnants of the old paint that had been protected under overlapping sheet metal panels and the new.
Some auto body paint suppliers can mix for spray cans use custom color choices as needed as well.
Well NAPA did not work out as they need a 2”x2” paint chip for their scanner. I have found and visited Eli English who restores antique cars. He said he could manually match the colors I need and be 99% accurate. I will take some before and after once at the work is completed

I also saw this and contacted the seller and he did not see my comb. No in his documents. So this was not any help. I did talk with Eli English and showed him the paint chips. He confirmed that he can match the colors and be 99% accurate. So it looks like my path is with Eli.
In addition to the paint, part of the dash has a wood grain pattern. Has anybody ever reproduced this pattern or know of a kit made for the 1939 chevy
There are a number of outfits that advertise in Hemmings that do woodgraining and/or sell do-it-yourself kits. Hopefully someone will have personal experiences they can share.

@david-black I may be wrong but I think while all 39 dashes of the same models that had the same wood grain color the patterns were different just as actual wood grain patterns varied. In regards to the paint color one suggestion on the internet I found was to contact known paint suppliers as sometimes they do not show all the options on the internet but may still have the needed color code. http://www.autocolorlibrary.com

@steve-d thanks. I did check this site but they only sell in quarts or gallons. I am looking for someone that can sell in aerosol cans I did find a company called “myperfectcolor” but could not find the color I am looking for.
Grain-It Technologies (woodgraining.com) sells diy kits and other supplies that can be used to achieve very authentic results. There are several videos on the website that show the process in detail. That said, I have used locally supplied base colors and two component automotive clears while using their equipment and graining inks. It’s pricey to acquire everything needed for one job however.
What a wonderful looking end result. But way too complicated for me. Thank you for this information
