I have a bit of a Frankenstein truck. I am trying to figure out if the 1938 had trim on the interior of the cab door opening. It seems that there may have been trim running up the backside of the door opening/pillar and over the top of the door opening. At least my truck had it on one side. My eBay search shows a lot of such pieces for 1939-46. None for 38

Did the 1938 have these trim pieces?? Thanks!!

@william-fig The 1936-1938 trucks had trim as you describe, that comes up the back of the door (one piece) and then curves over the top of the door (second piece). It is about 3/4 in wide with ribs along each side. It sorta looks like a miniature version of the wear strips that hold down the floor boards in the bed. I see them on eBay at times, usually for more $ than you would expect. Check with Brian at Classy Chev USA, in California. 949 973 6224. Tell him that some wacky truck nut in Missouri gave you his number.
