Some years ago I was pleased to bid on and win a barn find -- a 1941 Chevy in decent condition.. Rusty, to be sure, but fixable. I proceeded to take it All apart, with visions of a gorgeous restoration, only to be called out of state for a job. When I finally returned to my home in Missouri, life had taken some turns and I now have neither the time, nor energy, nor space to continue this project. It saddens me, but I must face reality.
Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with all this. Part it out? Sell it lock, stock, and barrel to someone who knows these cars well enough to put it together? It's not really about the money; it's about not wanting to see this car and its parts end up in a junkyard. I just can't keep it much longer.
I welcome any thoughts on this. I've always been a big believer in saving old things for future generation, and yet here I am. I'm in Mid Missouri, fwiw.
Probably the quickest and easiest is to sell it as a basket case and prepare to take a shot in the wallet. Parting it out will often result in more money but also far more time and headaches. Feel free to place a free ad(s) in the Classified section.
