I know that the answer was answered in the old forum but it is easier to ask in this forum.  What size of blubs should go in the tail lights, brake lights and the parking lights of my 38?

The first step is to paint the inside of the housing gloss white. Don't fall for the "spray chrome" or "chrome paint". In the absence of a mirror, gloss white reflects well over 90% of the light hitting it. If you still have the two bulb bracket in the housing, the OE bulbs were #63 for both tail and brake. The 63 is 3 candle power. I replaced the 63 tail light bulb with a #81 which is 6 CP. You can modify the bracket to accept the #1129 which is larger but is a 21 CP bulb. Below are some images showing how to do the modification. I believe there are brackets still available to convert to a single 1154 bulb.
