Looking for a good site to identify antique mechanical hand tools. Yes i did try searching but Google brings up loads of not wanted info and mostly sales sites or ones that have a fee.

What kind or type tools. Original Chevrolet tools that were put into the cars or available to purchase from dealers? Of just old tools.

@chip Right now I have a couple pliers that have a mfg name on them that does not come up on a search. One was made in France and the other Germany but they both have a common stamping. A.F.& Cu. One has only the country GERMANY and the other Laugoniot-Tissot France. I will try to post a photo later. Best I could get-may be time for a new (used) camera. They are both wide mouth pliers highly finished. They were inherited from grandparents which do have French background but none German. I have had them for over 50 years so am guessing they are 75 or more years old.

Sorry but I can't help with foreign tools. Maybe someone will see the post and be able to provide more help.

Could it be A.F.&Co instead? There are a lot of tools marked that way for sale when I searched using that criteria but no information about what company made them.

@tiny Thanks Tiny. The O was incomplete due to the handle curve. Found this in an ebay ad using A.F.& CO
