Hello: I’m in need of a transmission for my 35 Chevy Standard (lost 3rd gear). My case has # 473208, I maybe found one, condition not clear, with #473502. Do the bolt hole pattern match. Anybody know? Anybody know where an available one that fits a 35 Standard? I’m told a 473502 will fit a 33 to 36 Chevy Standard, anybody confirm the bolt hole pattern matches? Can anybody shed some light on this?
@Lawrence- Lawrence, I have a transmission which bears the same casting number as yours, 473208. I bought it as a professionally rebuilt unit. It has a tag stating so and that it was done by ACME Automotive, of Chicago, IL. I don't believe I have had the top off.
I believe Acme is a reputable company, as Wyle E. Coyote was a repeat customer over a period of many years. Honestly, I think most of the product failures he experienced were a result of user error.
I have two 1935 Standard Chevys but I do not anticipate needing this unit. If you are still looking, I will be happy to have a look inside and give an honest assessment of what I find. You may call or text me at 573 864 653nine. I am in Columbia, Missouri.
