Happy New Year to all. Any members own a WW II vintage GMC CCKW ( 2 1/2 ton ) ( deuce and a 1/2 ) truck ? I have started looking for one in good shape to purchase. Anything I need to look for, anything to avoid ? I am thinking about a model with the canvas top. It looks like the windshield would fold down on those and it would fit height wise in my garage. Thanks in advance. Trying to do some homework on these models.
@clement-thurn At the top of the page you'll see a Rosters button with a down arrow. Click or hover over that button then click on Vehicle Roster. You can search for GMCs of all years. You'll get owners and their contact information. Another benefit of club membership.

@clement-thurn There are at least two national/international clubs that are dedicated to preserving military vehicles. They have publications with classified ads. They should be an excellent place to make contact with potential sellers of a CCKW. Google is your friend.

Thank you both. Yes, I was going to look up members, and I have looked at military vehicle sales websites. My next step is looking up Facebook military vehicle collector groups. I'll get my answers !! Have a great day, thanks for the help.
@clement-thurn I would advise you to join the national clubs a start getting their publications. They have classified ads.

@clement-thurn I just watched a YouTube video by Dolloff Antiques. They are located in Murdo South Dakota. They have a CCKW for sale. Find the video and go to 1 hour and 6 minutes to see the truck. The phone number is 605 516 0062
