Kill switch, Going to use the ground cable for the disconnect. I see no ads for 6 volt kill switches, by using the ground cable I don't have worry about amp ratings. I think I'm going in the right direction. Why a kill switch, anti theft and no worries when working on the electrical system.

If the starter is going to be controlled by that switch you'll need to consider the amperage capacity of the switch.

This is an excellent switch that can handle the amperage.

I have a disconnect on the battery.  I put it there since I prefer to disconnect the battery when the car is not in use.  It is rated for the amps and has never been an issue.  As said before if it is rated for the correct amperage then it should work.

As my kids have but it our 41 has numerous theft deterrents:

1. It is not fast

2. Manual transmission

3. For those that can drive a stick they probably are not familiar with the three on the tree

4. Floor starter

5. Hard to blend in with the crowd
