Does anyone know or have the correct distance between the crank shaft and cam shaft (measured half way down the length)? In the 1000TH.

Hi Julian

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but from this:

https://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/chevyresto/2809.htm

the distance from the center of the crankshaft to the center of the camshaft should be 4.313 to 4.316 inches.

Hope that helps.
