I have NOS outside door handles, but they are without lock cylinders. The originals I have as well, badly pitted, and the drivers was lockable with a frozen cylinder, the passenger handle was made with no lock cylinder.  Does anyone know if I can fill my empty NOS bright handles with a NAPA briggs and stratton type modern replacement cylinder? What part would that be?Or any available source for the lock cylinders? I purchased the NOS handles 30 yrs ago, when the repro handles were not being made. They actually are still available  at a couple of vendors, with keys as well,  but I wanted to avoid spending another 260-300 $  when Ive already got the handles. Thanks

@mrobertweiss Robert, The short answer to your question is NO. The only lock cylinder that is currently available at NAPA or other parts stores, fits the ignition only. I have some lock parts that might help you. The problem is that they came to me after decades of being kicked around a Chevy parts department so many are not boxed and therefore are not identifiable by a part number. I WILL BE GLAD TO HELP YOU if we can figure out what you need. It will not cost you hundreds of $. You can email me at ml.russell1936@gmail.com. Give me a phone number and an appropriate time to call and I will call you.

I think you are mistaken about the location of your handles. On all Chevrolets, of this period, that I know of, the locking handle goes on the passenger side.
