After several challenges the frozen electrolock has been repaired and reinstalled in the Chevy. It is running fine now. Thanks for all your help. Mike

I took it to a local retired machinist who likes to work on old cars he said he would give it a try after I got it back from the States. He took it apart and freed it up not only that he fixed the spare one as well. Some people have the touch.

( I soaked the two electrolocks for a month and then sent them to the U.S. to see if they could be freed up. Ended up getting them sent back no luck getting them to turn.)

Sometimes you get lucky and run into the right person.

@michael-mcdonald What we all need to know what did the local machinist do to get the frozen locks apart? I have several that nothing I have tried to get them unfrozen has worked. That includes heating for an extended time in peanut oil hoping that the electrolytic expansion could be reversed enough so the oil could lubricate the parts so they could be gently tapped apart..

@chip  I will give him a call and see what he did. I was just so happy to get them free and working that I didn't ask.

He could either call or email me directly if he wants chevychip@yahoo.com or 979 233-1600.

So far I don't have any additional information. Will post if I get anything significant.
