I picked up this distributor body at a swap meet earlier this year.

It sort of looks like a Chevy 4 banger distributor, but the name plate is missing and it certainly is not for a 1927 or 1928.

Any ideas?

 It might not be for a GM vehicle. It has mechanical timing advance which was used on 1926 and earlier GM's however it has a condenser attached to it and Chevrolet used a #284 coil w/o an external condenser. Without the ID tag it's hard to tell.
