I am trying to get this 1926 Chevy running but do not know much about it. Can someone help me on how to and clearances of the lifter adjustments and timing and clearances of points?
Thanks in advance
I don't have the specific answers to your questions but have you purchased a shop manual for your car? They are available for your car through The Filling Station (ad at the top of the page) and others. Some of the best money you'll ever spend on the car.

Well now, that's frustrating. Someone will be along soon who can answer your question.

Valve adjustments are : Intake .008"...Exhaust .010" on an engine at normal operating temperature. Points should be set at .018" - .020". Plug gap .028"-.030". Firing order is 1-2-4-3. (this is different than modern Chevy 4 cylinder firing order) The following instructions are out of the Chevrolet Repair Manual. You can get the cam wrench from Gary Wallace $14.00 at:.. Earlychevyparts.com. See his online catalog. Below are the instructions for setting the engine timing. Good luck, I wish you success.
Thanks Stephen S Gow. I guess my book does have that. I do not know why I could not find it although it is slightly different. My Retiming Distributor starts in middle of page 122 and Locating Electrical Troubles starts at bottom of page 123. I have not read enough to notice any other differences yet. But Other wise looks good. THANKS
