does anyone have information on decoding 1928 body serial no? I have '28 one ton truck serial no starts at 9 LP. I found an article online showing the various assembly plants, with a designation number, but it wasn't clear what that number related to in the serial number, but I assume, it would be the first digit, in my case the 9, which is Norwood, Ohio

@lou You are correct that the first digit indicates the assembly plant. The LP means your truck is a 1928 one ton with four wheel brakes. The earlier 1928 LO had rear brakes only.
