Yesterday, I drove Justin (1928 Canopy Express) to a local charter school's Cars and Coffee event. It was a small gathering, but there were kid's soccer games going in the fields next to the parking lot. 😉 A good time was had by all.
I changed Justin's 'look' a little. I took out the tools and chests from the bed and put one of my motor bikes on display in the truck's bed. We drew a lot of attention! 😉 I call the bike the BS Flyer (for Briggs and Stratton, of course). I built it in 2019 with parts that I accumulated over 10 years:
- 1947 Simplex frame and wheels (made in New Orleans)
- 1960's NOS Simplex tires
- 1953 Simplex gas tank
- 1950's Schwinn bike parts on the front forks
- Old Briggs and Stratton engine
- 1960 Honda 50 carburetor
- 1946 Vickers choke lever (used for throttle)
- 1923 Torrington bicycle handle bars
- 1920's bicycle Klaxon horn
- Brake rod from 1928 Chevrolet
- Telephone pole porcelain sign for license plate
