Last week my oldest son pulled our 87 Monte Carlo out of storage and this weekend we finished all of the steps to get it on the road for the summer.  Oil changed and inspected everything under the hood.  The old oil still looked clean but we change it every year when pulling it out.  Used some muffler wrap on the mid-pipe to cover a hole in it, no longer sounds like a racecar.  I know this is not the proper fix but they no longer make the pipe and for $6 it sounds like a new pipe was put on it.  Finally we washed it... then to end the day the tractor turned over the field next to the house stirring up dirt and covering the car in dust, part of living in the country with a black car.

Dark colored cars are a magnet for dust. About the exhaust, most communities had shops that do custom bend exhaust work. Replacing a piece of pipe would be fairly easy and inexpensive.
