  • Just received a NOS radio head for my 37 Chevy business coupe. I purchased all  the components from Javier from California, including speaker tube box and speaker. My question is before attempting installation how should I test the components. Does anyone have instillation instructions or wiring schematics for a 37 Chevy . Appreciate any info on how to proceed. It appears my car had a radio since my fire wall has the vent box for cooling the radio tubes.

@john-galli Welcome to VCCA Chat John. This should be it's own thread instead of a piggyback. I'll leave it for a while to let you find my reply then I'll break it off onto a technical forum (probably Electrical - 6 volt) as a stand alone thread.

@john-galli I bench checked mine using a 6 volt power supply. I didn't use an antennae since my garage work shop is metal, but when I applied power the light lit and it hummed. Running through the stations produced no sound. I thought it was dead and that's why I was so surprised when it ended up working. Good luck with your project for a radio.
