I have spare parts. Don't generally sell them or advertise them as I need to make sure I have enough to rebuild the ones I get in. Several parts I have to make so they are available. The barrel insulator that slips into the hole in the distributor is one I have to make. Most other insulators can be made from gasket material or insulating plastics. Others can be found at local hardware stores.

@chip Hello Chip. if possible I need a bit of assistance hooking up the electroloc cable to the distributor, I recently found all the parts to get my distributor complete to hook up electroloc to it and I got NOS lock switch with cable, my problem is getting the cable to snap on to the stud coming out the distributor, I tested the feral before i hooked it to distributor so it clears the cable just fine, it is just a very tight connection, is there any tricks to getting the stud to penetrate the clover looking brass retaining piece? I'm appreciative of all your wisdom.

This is the kind of discussion I really appreciate on this forum.

I will be facing a similar situation with my 1940 Electroloc in the very near future.

Thanks for the post and for all the responses.

Learning.

Nick

I am not sure what advise you are needing. If you have the stud with tapered end with condenser installed threaded into the distributor like it was on initial factory assembly and the spring with copper retainer installed into the cable end, they just plug together. The copper retainer will lock on just past to the tapered end of the stud. All the electrolocs I have seen have the stud installed on the copper retainer and need to have the threaded stud end to be installed through the barrel insulator into the distributor. A photo or two might help me understand what you have.

@chip hello, I thought replying through my phone worked but obviously it did not, I ended up taking the cable end apart and installing the stud with a copper washer already on the stud into the electro lock cable and then assembling it on my distributor. basically what was happening the tapered stud would not spread the copper washer in the cable to make the connection, not sure why maybe the washer hardened over the years? this cable I found was NOS. but in long story short it is now together thanks for the assistance

Glad it worked out for you. I have some of the spare parts but never the two parts that were forced together on the assembly line.
