Hi guys. I just started working on my 1935 Chevy Sedan standard and I am having electrical issues... I've been through most everything else, and she is ready to be test ran, but when I turn the ignition, only the fuel indicator seems to be getting power. I've traced the wring all around the vehicle, everything seems to be ok.
I have only found one small fuse behind the "lights" switch, and its fine. Before I disassemble the dash, I thought I'd reach out to guys who have more experience than me. Where can I find a decent wiring manual?
Any ideas?
On my 38 (I suspect your 35 is the same) the only instrument on the dash this electric is the fuel guage, the only other ignition powered item is the generator light.

The main power goes from the battery positive post to the ammeter then to the ignition switch. When the ignition switch is turned on power goes to the gas gauge, coil/points, light switch. The only changes to instruments you should notice are the gas gauge and ammeter, which deflects slightly to discharge if the points are closed. If points are open or not functioning the ammeter will not move unless there is a short or the light switch is on.
Check to see if you have power to the ignition points. If so you should be good to go.

There is a wiring diagram in the Service Manual. You should definitely get one, if you don't have one already. If you want to text me at 573 864 6539 I will take a picture of the diagram for you to use until you can get a manual.
I have two 1935 Standards. A coupe and a two door sedan. Where are you located? I am in Central Missouri.
