I have never checked the brake fluid level in my 51. Maybe because I'm not sure where it is. I think it is under the driver side floor(?). Do you check it from above the floor through a removable panel? Thanks for any help.

There is a 4" hard rubber cap in the drivers side floor panel about where your foot would rest. Lift the floor mat (or carpet) - remove the cap and you will be able to see the filler plug.
