Brake adjustment

I just replaced the front brakes (I will get to the rears next)  on my 51. I adjusted them as per the shop manual. It pulls slightly to the left. Am I right that I need to back off the left to get rid of the pull? Thanks, as always for, for any help.

There are a couple of things that could cause pulling where there wasn't before. Adjustment is one of them. Contamination is another. If you got any grease, oil, brake fluid, etc. on the shoes, that wheel will grab until it wears off. If the pull isn't dangerous I'd put some miles on the car first to see if it goes away. I remember many years ago with my 57 Ford after I did a brake job. I'd gotten some brake fluid on one front shoe and it took a couple of days to wear off. It started locking that wheel up then progressed to a hard pull, then a softer pull then all was normal.

Tiny,

Thanks very much for your answer. You always give me good answers. As far as contamination, before I touched the new shoes I washed all grease off my hands and was very careful that none of the Lubriplate I used did not get on the shoes. Of course, that doesn't mean it was absolutely clean. It does not pull to the left very hard. It is a gentle pull and nothing dangerous. I will try to widen the right side a bit while closing the left a bit more. And I agree that driving some miles might also help.
