1938 Chevrolet Master Caster Shims

I have a 1938 Chevrolet Master (straight front axle).  I want to add caster shims.  Does the thick part of the wedge go towards the front of the vehicle or towards the rear of the vehicle?

The depends on whether you want to increase or decrease the Castor. The complete procedure is outlined in the shop manual starting on page 69. The adjustment starts on page 73.
