I've replaced my old MC with a rebuilt one.  In this process I have been looking for pictures.  Talking to the gentleman at The Filling Station, it sounds like the back side (that faces the rear of the car) is not correct which doesn't surprise me.  But just for my satisfaction, does this look correct or normal?

It's exactly like the one in my 1936 GMC 1/2 ton.

It looks like the filler cap does not match up to the hole in the floorboard. If I am seeing this correctly, that would be a clear indication that you have the wrong cylinder. Maybe it is just the photo angle. I don't see anything wrong with the setup otherwise. What am I missing.

Mike, you are correct, but that's what was in the car when I got it.  I does make it difficult to add brake fluid, but it works.  When I tried to find a new one, I couldn't find one that looked like this one.  I had a spare that I got with my previous 36 Couch and they both looked the same so I assumed it was correct.  Since I couldn't find one like it, I had this one rebuilt.  Good eye!

The 1936 MC is a one year only.  The Wagner numbers are: 1936 FA and FD Master Deluxe (w/Knee Action) and Master (w/o Knee Action) take the same MC #FD3394.  The 1936 FC Standard has a different MC listed as #FD4387.  These aftermarket numbers are sometimes very handy as they supplied parts such as these long after Chevrolet quit making them.
