I don't know if anything will interchange but it's helpful to know what parts you're referring to.

This is one for Chevgene. I have a '36 207 and i fitted a '34 head with a '34 head gasket. A '34 crank i have as a spare for this engine. Not sure about '33.

The pistons and Crank shaft  will interchange .  I think that is it.

I think the camshaft and lifters should also work.

I agree with Tiny . Generally later parts are used on earlier engines because of improvements. Even if an earlier part may fit (unless identical part number) using an earlier part may not be wise as you will loose the improved benefit. For example the pistons may fit but have a lower compression ratio resulting in decreased performance.

George, et al, Get yourself a parts book that is bit newer than your car. In your case, George, I suggest 1938 0r 1939. They are available and inexpensive. It is easy to learn to use the Chevrolet Master Parts Catalog (sometimes called the Master Parts Price List) and you will never regret your purchase.

After 59 years in this hobby and 53 of it obsessed with old Chevrolets, I find my (30 or more) parts catalogs to be invaluable.

Do not rely on vendors, eBay sellers, or anecdotal accounts for accurate information. There are occasional mistakes/lapses in the Chevy Catalog but they are rare.

Jim Carter, The Filling Station, Chevys Of The 40s, and others do the best job they can but they cover such a wide range of products that they can't be expected to be experts on every model. Learn to be your own expert on your car and your parts hunting life will be much easier and more fulfilling.

I try to own every piece of paper that applies to my old Chevys. Parts, service, sales, it doesn't matter. Get everything you can get your hands on. (Boy oh boy, that was dumb. Now I will be bidding against all of you on eBay)

Just some advice from an old man who has been doing this for a long time.

Mike
