Guys,
I have a Tillotson JR5A carburetor on an old 31 motor. Will this work on my 1929 engine. I have the manifold spacer and the fuel line as well as the choke and throttle cable clamps on the carb. Im thinking this could be an easy rebuild for me while I try to sort out my 1929 carbs. But before I buy a $50+ rebuild kit I wanted to check to see if there is any reason not to use it.
Thanks
Rich
If the carburetor has not warped or broken and you can find the parts needed, it should work on your '29. I have never used one but do know a few that have and liked them. I have rebuilt over 500 or the original Carter RJH-08 carburetors and run them on my '30-'31 Chevrolets so prefer them over the aftermarket replacements.
