@chip I agree. I ran my oil pump with an old distributor shaft in my drill. The oil pressure gauge works pretty well. I don't get a ton of oil in the top end (I had the valve cover off so I could see the oil reach the top) But I do get oil on each of the rocker sections, and in the little tube that goes down into the rod cover also has oil running out.
@chip yes that is correct. It’s a vacuum brake bleeder system. It runs off compressed air.
I had a bunch of sediment in the gas today. The float cork was the culprit. I thought it was in good shape but it was not. I had to drop the tank and clean it out. I had the tank cleaned and lined before I installed it last time. So I had to clear the whole fuel system as well today. But is all looks good now except my fuel filter needs to be changed.
I have found that cork floats in gas tanks deteriorate with modern gasoline. I have replaced the cork with a brass float like those used in the 50s pickups. It requires modification of the wire that normally goes through the cork. I typically heat the wire to orange or red and then allow to cool. After bending to hold the brass float I heat and quench with water to temper the wire to clip over the mid float groove. Have done several gasoline sending units without a failure.

@chip Thanks Chip. I will look into that.
Also I sent you a message regarding rebuilding my carb. Looking from info on where to send it, how to pay you and what the turnaround time might be.
Thanks
Rich
