Are the hoods for the 1933 truck and the 1932 car directly interchangeable?
I found and old picture, likely from the early to mid 1930s. It appears to be of a 1932 Chevy 5 passenger coupe but it has a louvered hood. The picture is kinda difficult to see because it is double exposed and possibly taken through a window.
Hi Tim
Both pictures and parts books suggest the answer is technically no.
Trucks in 1933 had louvers in the side panels, while 1932 cars had small doors.
But... will one actually "fit" on the other?
I can't answer that, but possible 35mike or someone else can.

The car has a louvered hood, but I am %100 percent sure that a '31 hood wouldn't fit. The headlights, cowl light & windshield are defiantly '32.
Actually, I'm pretty sure the car in question isn't a Chevrolet at all. 🙂
The hood is far too long.
The belt line moldings don't look right.
And I think the only body style Chevrolet had with a "trunk" extending out the back like that in 1932 was a convertible landau phaeton.

Compare the length of the hood, the slope of the windshield frame (or A pillar), and the belt line molding lines at the cowl to this:

When I get back home I can measure them. I suspect that they are the same size. Not so sure that the hold down rods are the same shape.
