Was redoing my brakes on a 1930 Chevy Coupe and I have an extra part that I do not remember what it is for. I had it in the bag for the rear passenger side brakes parts. Its the only one I have. I painted it black a year ago but can't remember were it goes back on the car. Any ideas?

That part attaches to the brake cross rod to operate the brake switch. It has a bolt and nut on the open side to clamp it on the rod. The end moves the arc shaped arm on the brake light switch.

Thanks Chip I now remember taking it off. I had to cut the bolt that was holding it in place.

Glad I could help recover the memory.
